We achieved the first step towards reforms, says head of Gorran fraction

The head of the Change Movement fraction in the Kurdistan Region Parliament, Ali Hama Salih, said today, Thursday, that voting on the reform bill is the first step towards reforms in the Kurdistan region. Stressing that  his movement rejects the salaries of the retirement of its deputies .

He also said in a press conference after voting on the reform bill, "The Change Movement, through its team in the regional government and its fraction within Parliament, has long sought to combat corruption and improve the conditions of citizens, and today we have been able to achieve a large part of our ambition." ".

He added that "removing fake names from  salaries lists, families of martyrs, Anfal, and political prisoners, and those who get more than one salary, will be one of the priorities of our work during the coming period after voting on the reform bill today."

With regard to the retirement senior government officials, the head of the Change fraction said  : “The salaries of the retirement of the senior government officials have been reduced from 80% to 15%,” stressing that “the change of pension salaries was rejected in any way.”
