Iraq's Federal Court decision good step towards changing course of elections says Shorish Haji

The Member of the executive body  of the Change Movement ( Gorran) , Shorsh Haji,   on Thursday, described  the decision of the Federal Court on the constitutionality of the third amendment to the law of elections of the Iraqi parliament  with all its articles except one, an important step to adjust the course of the elections.

"The decision of the Federal Court to support measures taken by the parliament on the third amendment to the law of the elections is a good decision and an important step towards changing the course of the elections," He said.
  
He also  stressed that "the decision of the court contributes to  detecting the big fraud that took place in the elections, especially in the provinces of the Kurdistan region,"

 "We expect the judges who were assigned to this task to say their decisive word to show the truth and reveal the different methods used by corrupt parties," he added. 

Earlier today Chief Justice Madhad al-Mahmoud said in a press conference that the parliament‌s session held on June 6 was constitutional, confirming recount of votes is “correct”. 

Mahmoud added the cancelation of diasporas, displaced and Peshmerga forces‌ votes was constitutional.
