Gorran's General Council held its elections


The General Council of the Change Movement( Gorran) has  elected Jamal Haji Mohamed as its chairman, Ali Abdullah as Vice-chairman  and Peshrao Rauf as secretary of the council.

The election was held Thursday at the Movement's main headquarters in Sulaimani.
The elections took place under the supervision of the electoral chamber and the legal chamber of the Change Movement.
Jamal Haji Mohamed will directly become a member of the executive cell.
The National Council will also hold its elections  next Sunday for electing  the General Coordinator of the movement and a secretary for Council and other members of the executive cell.

The General Council   is an advisory body within the Movement made of up older and more experienced party members. It mostly handles internal party matters and provides proposals and recommendations to the National Assembly, which is the highest decision-making body in the movement.
