Gorran, KNC call for unity among Kurds
General Coordinator of the Change Movement ( Gorran), Omer Sayid Ali reiterated the unity and common stances among Kurds in Southern and Western Kurdistan saying" We have already told the American that Kurds are not mercenaries fighting for money and weapons only, rather a nation asking for its rights and struggling to achieve its national objectives".
His speech came during a meeting with a delegation from the Kurdish National Congress( KNC) who visited the main headquarters of the Change Movement in Sulaimani.
" Gorran provides political, diplomatic and media support for Kurdish struggle in all parts of Kurdistan. In this complicated situation which Iraq and Syria are going through, unity and common stances among Kurds in Southern and Western Kurdistan deem to be a pressing necessity". he added.
Meanwhile, General Coordinator of the Change Movement cited protecting Kurdistan Region entity and its achievements as the duty of all Kurdish parties.
For his part, KNC co- chair Ahmad Qaramus commended the Change Movement for its ongoing support for KNC missions, in succeeding KNC 19th congress and its ongoing support for Rojava.
" There are increasing challenges facing Kurdistan region and Rojava, we keenly watch the political developments in Iraq, Syria and the status of Kurds, that is why we are here to closely meet with Kurdish parties to discuss the political developments and for the sake of easing the risks, we call for unity and common stances among Kurds" he added.
