Top British Diplomats met with Change Movement
The General Coordinator of the Change Movement( Gorran), Omer Saiyd Ali received on Wednesday British ambassador to Iraq Stephen Hickey and British Consul General to Erbil James Thornton at the main headquarters of the Chang Movement in Sulaimani.
In a meeting also attended by coordinator of the diplomatic relations department of the movement and other members of the diplomatic relations, both sides discussed the political situation in the Kurdistan region and Iraq, specially the ongoing protests where The General Coordinator of the Change Movement expressed support for the legitimate and civil demands of the Iraqi protesters.
As for the issue of amending the Iraqi constitution, the General Coordinator reiterated that the rights of Kurdish people should be protected and he also stressed the need for implementing the agreement between the KRG and the Iraqi government regarding oil and budget.
For his part, British ambassador to Iraq expressed his support and the readiness of his country for further coordination with Kurds in all stages.
Regarding the political situation in the Kurdistan region, the General Coordinator reiterated that the Change Movement aims at providing services and prosperity to the people in the Kurdistan region through radical reforms, uniting and nationalizing the Peshmarga forces along with reforms in all political, economic and judicial areas.
