Gorran Movement: the vacuum between Iraqi army and Peshmarga is a serious danger on Kerkuk and disputed areas

The spokesperson
of Gorran Movement announced that the movement and activities of sleeper cells
of Islamic State militants is because of the availability of vacuum between
Iraqi army and Peshmarga forces, we think that this is a serious risk over the
Iraqi and Kurdistan Region security, especially for Kerkuk and the disputed
areas.
In a
statement about the Islamic state attack on Peshmarga forces, Dler Abdwlxalq
said: unfortunately, Sunday morning May 1, 2021, the Islamic state militants attacked
on two checkpoint of Peshmarga in Prde district, as a result two peshmarga
members were martyred and two others injured. We share our condolence for the
relatives of who were martyred and we hope the injuries to be recovered as soon
as possible.

unfortunately,
Sunday morning May 1, 2021, the Islamic state militants attacked on two
checkpoint of Peshmarga in Prde district, as a result two peshmarga members
were martyred and two others injured.
Although our
shared condolence fo the relatives of martyred Peshmarga, we think that the
activities of sleeper cells of Islamic state militants which is the result of
the vacuum between Iraqi army and Peshmarga forces and it has been used as a
chance by Islamic state, is a serious danger on the Iraq and Kurdistan Region generally,
especially for Kerkuk and disputed areas.
Also we
think that cooperation between Iraq and the ministry of Peshmarga as well as
the support by international coalition is a necessary step in order to disassemble
terrorist plans and to save people life and the security of the region.
May 1, 2021
