Kurdistan Parliament delegation met with Change Movement leaders

A Kurdistan Parliament delegation headed by Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq on 9 September met with Change Movement (Gorran) senior members in Slemani to discuss having a unified approach on issues in the national interest.

Speaker Faiq asked the senior members of the Change Movement for cooperation between different political parties on drafting a Kurdistan Region constitution in parliament’s current four-year term. They also asked the Change Movement to support Parliament’s work on financial reforms and in its dialogue with Baghdad.

The Parliamentarians and the Change Movement  also discussed supporting the KRG’s programme, increasing coordination between the Kurdistan Parliament and the Kurdish blocs in Iraq’s Council of Representatives, institutionalizing Kurdistan Region’s organizations, and motivating Kurdish political parties to form one list in Iraq’s provincial council elections.

Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami, Secretary Muna Kahvachi and several Gorran MPs took part in the meeting.
