Dr. Yusf Muhammad and Bahar Mahmood refused the retirement salary

Dr. Yust Muhammad, former speaker of Kurdistan
Parliament and currently an Iraqi parliamentarian, with Bahar Mahmood, former
Kurdistan Parliamentarian and currently an Iraqi parliamentarian, refused to receive
the salary of their retirement in the Kurdistan Parliament.
In a statement which directed to Kurdistan parliament
Presidency, Dr. Yusf wrote: according to different clauses of the reform law in
the salary, concessions, and retirement in the Kurdistan Region, Number 2 of
2020, I, as a former speaker of Kurdistan parliament, haven’t done the deal of
my retirement, and now I am an Iraqi parliamentarian, by this statement I inform
you that I will not retire until I get all qualifications of my retirement.
Dr. Yusf has announced that he will refuse to receive the
retirement salary of Iraqi Parliament and after finishing this term of
parliamentarian affairs, he will become the university professor again.
At the same time, Bahar Mahmood, who is a former
Kurdistan parliamentarian, send a statement to the Kurdistan parliament
Presidency and said that she would refuse the retirement salary of Kurdistan
Parliament.
The steps of the reform law have been implemented by
the Financial Ministry of the Kurdistan Region Government, in which there is a
clause refers that parliamentarian can refuse their retirement salary.
