Stam Kamil: the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil should be national and institutional
21/07/2020
The director of political research of Gorran Movement commented
about the relationship between the federal government and Kurdistan government
and said: those relationships have direct effect over on the life and
constitutional rights of the region’s citizens, and there are two causes that
make those relationships bad, first one is the type of relationships, second is
the split of political parties.
“The main cause that made the relationships between Baghdad and
Kurdistan Region to reach to this bad point was that those relationships were
personal and partisan. Most delegations during negotiations of the government
formation focused on the political portion and post instead of focus on the achievement of constitutional rights of Kurdistan
citizens,” said Stam Kamil the director of political research of Gorran.
He mentioned: the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil should
be national institutional instead of personal and partisan. That goal is
achieved by the creation of “negotiation team to nationalize the relationship
between Baghdad and Erbil”, that team should have three qualities:
First: the ability to make political
decision in favor of Kurdistan Region citizens.
Second: the ability to make technical and
special decision.
Third: it should be under the supervision
of Kurdistan Parliament.
The director of political research room
said: it is important for that team to have writing archive.
He also viewed that the split of Kurdish
political parties is the important part that made the relationship between
Baghdad and Erbil to be bad. Kurdish house gets together just by the radical
reform in the political and economic systems.
