Balen Esmael: what is happening in the border crossings is the result of 29 years of mismanagement

One Gorran bloc parliamentarian announced: a part of smuggling which currently is available in the border crossings of Kurdistan Region is legal and it has been monopolized by partisan companies and officials, another part is smuggling like robbery.

“What is happening in the border crossings is a result of 29 years of mismanagement which is currently has increased and become like a type of robbery by different bands outside of the authority of the government and the ministry of finance and formal institutions,” said Balen Esmael in an interview with sbeiy.com.

He also said: “we are in the Gorran Movement and as gorran bloc have searched on this issue precisely in order to be able to return one the income sources to the government, and we bring the issue of smuggling in front of the finance committee in the Kurdistan parliament.”
