Gorran bloc: the issue of land grabbing in Sulaymaniyah is corruption

The leader and number parliamentarians of Gorran bloc in the Kurdistan parliament discovered that the green lands of Sulaimany gate which called (Sulaimany- Taslwja) road, was burnt in order to divide them illegally.  

“The issue of monopolization of lands in Sulaimany is corruption.  We have many documents that proves the involvement of many officials,” said Daban Muhammad the head of Gorran bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament.

Also Ali Hama Salh, a member of Gorran bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament said: in order to stop and prevent burning of lands so that they use them for commercial projects, we informed ministry council and Sulaimany governor.

Gorran bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament as a first bloc has investigated the issue of burning forests in Sulaimany city, and it warned about using those forest lands for commercial projects.

Gulstan Saed, a member of Gorran bloc has investigated about this issue and she said: there is a planned attack to burn and eradicate trees in the main road of Sulaimany gate.

Gorran bloc believes that the officials and high ranking people in the government and influenced political parties are behind this issue and they want to change type of lands in order to make commercial projects.

At the same time, Shaxawan rawf Bag, a member of Gorran bloc said: those cases that happened in the recent period in Sulaimany, especially the burning of Goizha and Azmar mountains and burning of trees in the main road of Sulaimany- Taslwja, have increased doubt.
