The head of
Gorran Bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament said: the freedom of opinion and
protest are two normal, legal and constitutional rights for Kurdistan people,
unfortunately inside Kurdistan many people arrested and kidnapped under the
pretext of security information.
“The
Kurdistan Government was supposed to work to broaden the scale of freedom of
opinion instead of arresting and kidnapping teachers, activists and journalists
while those rights were organized by law inside Kurdistan region and the
executional institutions should abide by that law,” said Gwlstan Saed in her writing.
She also
said: “the government should accelerate to release civil rights activists and
journalists who were arrested under the pretext of freedom of opinion.”
