Mustafa Said Qadir: the unification of peshmerga forces should be the priority of the government

The deputy of the Kurdistan Region President announced that:
the unification of Pesmarga forces and the implementation of reform should be
the priority of the whole sides.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, Mustafa Said Qadr the
deputy of the Kurdistan Region President met with the high delegation of
British Government, leaded by general john Lorimerm the United Kingdom’s Senior
Defense Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa. The goal of meeting was
to discuss the latest political, military, and economic development of Iraq and
Kurdistan region.
According to the statement of the deputy of the Kurdistan
Region President, at the meeting, which was also attended by the UK Ambassador
to Iraq, Stephen Hickey, the unification of Peshmarga forces and implementation
of reform in the military sector in Kurdistan region were discussed.
Mustafa said Qadr and the British delegation stressed on the
unification of Peshmarga forces and the need of implementation of reform. Also they
focused on the relationship between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
The deputy of Kurdistan president praised the role of UK in
supporting Kurdistan Region during the war against ISIS and he suggested to the
British delegation to widen that support in other fields like humanitarian,
health, and trade.
