U.S. Consul General Visits Gorran HQ

The  U.S. Consul General to Erbil, Steven Fagin and his accompanying delegation  visited on Sunday , December 16, 2018 the main headquarters of the Change Movement( Gorran) in Sulaimani and  were received by Omar Sayed Ali, the General Coordinator along with  the Chamber of Diplomatic Relations.

Shunas Shirko, a member of the Chamber of Diplomatic Relations of the  Change  Movement, said the two sides discussed the political situation in the Kurdistan Region  and ways to form the ninth KRG  cabinet .
 
In this context, the General Coordinator of the  Change Movement said that the movement has not yet taken the decision to participate in the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government or not, indicating that the National Council of the movement will take such a decision.

The general coordinator highlighted the priorities of the movement of change, which is the abolition of the savings of salaries and provide basic services to citizens along with  the unification of the Peshmerga forces.

For his part, the US consul stressed the need for the  formation of a government of services and radical reforms in the region.
